The Minister of State for Religious Affairs, Kesoo Mal Kheal Das, told the Senate on Thursday that the Sindh government had swiftly acted on reports from Mirpur Sakro Girls High School, where non-Muslim students were allegedly pressured to convert to Islam.
Responding to a calling attention notice submitted by Senator Danesh Kumar, he said the affected family highlighted the issue during a press conference, accusing the school headmistress of coercing minority students.
He added that the Sindh education minister has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the matter.
